We are a local family interacting and teaching about the local cuisine in Manuel Antonio from the local taste perspective. You will be learning directly from the locals how to best combine native ingredients with the best spices to get a tasty meal.

We had a wonderful time as a family doing this cooking class! Unfortunately we did not see the medicinal garden due to weather, but this didn’t lessen our experience. Juan and Elisabeth were very friendly and informative, everyone got to participate, and the entire meal was made from scratch with fresh ingredients. I had mentioned beforehand that it was my dad’s birthday, and they surprised him with a delicious tres leches cake at the end of the class. Viator was also very clear and quick with communication, and arranged seamless transportation to pick up/drop off at our Airbnb.

Phenomenal tour. Juan was very informative and the cooking was extremely informational and informal. Before we cooked, Juan gave us a tour of everything we would eat. He then brought us back to the house and taught us about what we were cooking. 10/10 would recommend. Very intimate tour in that it is small groups, but not something you necessarily have to do as a couple.
