Corcovado National Park Hike - From Uvita

Veel dieren gezien binnen een straal van een paar kilometer. Mooi om te zien hoe Costa Ricanen omgaan met de natuur. Nergens zie je afval. Bij aankomst in het park wordt je gecontroleerd of je geen plastic flesjes of eten bij je hebt. Ze willen echt dat de dieren zich niets aan trekken van de mensen.

Die Tour war sehr gut organisiert. Der Trail hat Spaß gemacht, wie haben einige Tiere gesehen und die Kulisse am Strand ist einfach traumhaft. Wir haben es nicht bereut. Pura Vida.

Unless you have absolutely no time and really would like to visit Corcovado just for the sake of it, I do not recommend this tour. You barely get through the trail. They just walk along the beach in the jungle and then walk out on the beach side. Our guide was terrible. He was not able to find any animals and kept asking other guides in the area for help. In fact the assistant guide he was taking along, I believe her name was Tracy, was much better guide, even though no one in the tour company treated her right. We stayed at the back and found more animals with her and understood what we were seeing etc. They don't have any dock for the boat so if you do this, you will see what it's like to manage that in choppy beach. They were also not careful with Dolphins in the ocean. They basically chased the dolphins with 3 boats and my mind just exploded with anger. So not nature friendly what so ever. The price is really all for the boat ride. We visited again by our car to Drake bay and Puerto Jimenez and it was much much better choice. If you have time, do that instead. I can't believe this tour costed $400 for nothing. All that ads of "biodiversity" but to only see monkeys that we saw else where all the way down at Corcovado... meh. The food they prepared for vegetarian was awful. pinto canned beans, rice, tortilla strips. The drinks they brought were the cheapest you'd find in walmart in Costa rica. We were about 10~15 people per guide, 3 boats, so more than 30 ppl in the group.
