Juan Jose is an amazingly knowledgeable tour guide and entertainer. He was funny, warm, genuine and with a heck of a "southern" accent. Juan Jose gave us a profound history about the mangroves and how to recognize them. We saw capuchin monkeys, Jesus lizards, an iguana, a boa, brown pelicans. blue heron, and many other species of birds. He has the best stories about the local area and is a true gentleman. You'll be entertained, informed, and knowledgeable after the tour. Upon return, we were served a delicious luncheon of chicken, rice & beans along with salad. A tour with Juan Jose is well worth your time and money.
