One of the best activities we did in Costa Rica. The river is wonderful and so refreshing and the team was super fun and very professional, we were in very good hands! They took the time to tell us about the flora and fauna as we saw it on the drive there as well. I recommend if you a looking for a thrilling experience to see the backcountry !

These are the guides to go with if you are doing El Chorro. They are informative, accommodating, and lovely humans in general. We had so much fun! Bring your sense of humor and adventure! They look after your valuables (leave them in the van) and your safety while on the river! We went during March which is dry season. We also raft and kayak whitewater regularly so please don’t go to this expecting a float. This is for somewhat physically active people but you don’t have to know whitewater rafting to go and if you fall out there are safety measures. Just be open-minded. They are so great!! Pura Vida!

Luckily, my wife and I were the only ones on the tour. We had great guides and were able to see Tucans, Macaws and different types of lizards. The activity is about 5 hrs. So make sure you plan your day accordingly.
