The mangrove forest is one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects.

Super fun experience! We got close to monkey and some birds and thankfully no snakes. Our guide was very nice and kept checking in to make sure we were doing okay with the current. The meal afterwards was delicious and came with fresh watermelon juice. My only critique is that they did not provide water.

We took the tour in the afternoon so didn’t see as much wildlife as I had hoped, however Armando was very knowledgeable about the mangrove and gave lots of information on the area and ecosystem making it much more enjoyable and informative than it could of been, and we did get to see the monkeys playing. My girlfriend also pulled her back (an old injury) on the experience, which was dealt with swiftly and efficiently to get us back safely. He turned what could of been a disastrous afternoon into a great one, despite the injury. Thank you Armando

Wow!! Such a great tour! Is a local experience with local guides, 100% recommended We saw: 5 snakes / 3type (boa, Mica, Ojo de Gato) 2 types of bars Kingfishers Sloths …..list of knowledge and care RECOMMENDED 100%
