With that said, bring sun protection, comfortable shoes and water. The nice thing about the Manuel Antonio National Park is that one can connect with nature, while only being miles from all essential necessities. I highly rec booking with a private tour guide, name is Alex Rojas Ramirez, 20+ yrs of experience. We would've missed 95% of the animals/inside knowledge if we had done it ourselves, so you kind of have to hire a guide. We are a family of 5, with 3 kids, age 6, 8 and 9 yo. Alex's pace and energy was appropriate for the kids. He found wildlife we never would’ve seen and took really amazing and clear photos/videos for us, including a snake catching and eating a frog! A big reason why he is a wonderful tour guide is bc it is clear that he loves and has a passion for his work.

Alex was incredible! We got to see soooo much wild life! It was absolutely worth doing it guided as we experienced so much more. He took excellent photos on our phones with his equipment that made the animals look like they were right in front of us. We saw baby and mama sloths, baby and mama monkeys, got to see “maffia” monkeys in action on the beach, and truly experience and incredible day. Thank you Alex!!

Our tour guide, Alex, was amazing! We never would have seen the animals we saw without him! I don't know how he spotted most of the animals he did, it was amazing. We were able to get great pictures and videos! We also learned so much about Costa Rica and it's wildlife! He was so knowledgeable. This was a great experience and I highly recommend Epic Adventures for your guides to get the best experience out of the Manuel Antonio National Park!
