Paddle near islands to see the nesting grounds of sea birds. Paddling a kayak on the open ocean can be an exciting way to experience Costa Rica’s marine and coastal wonders. Sea kayaking is much easier than river kayaking, and most trips can be done by people who have never tried the sport before. A Sea Kayaking tour is an opportunity to get a close look at the myriad of life below and above the ocean’s surface, from flying fish and sea turtles to frigate birds and pelicans. Explore some hard to reach offshore islands and coastal estuaries. Includes meals, bilingual guides, and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos. Single or double kayaks are available.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide Franklin was amazing. He was so knowledgeable, funny and kind and he even added an extra stop at the end of our trip to visit the local farmers market. He kept telling us that this was his hobby more than it was his job, and that was evident throughout the entire experience. It was an hour paddle to a quiet little beach and then an hour paddle back. My husband and I kayak often in rivers but had not kayaked in the ocean before. It was much easier than expected and certainly will be an activity we’ll book on future trips. 10/10 recommend - Thank you Franklin and Jordan for an incredible experience!

Great experience. Our guide Franklin was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and had a great enthusiasm for his work. We were able to see many beautiful things I had a wonderful time.
