Jungle Bliss: Yoga, Waterfalls, and Blue Clay Experience w/Lunch

This is, in my humble opinion, one of the most amazing adventures I have ever experienced. I was wanting something “zen” like but also fun and included the jungle and waterfalls. Well, I was lucky enough to run across this “Jungle Bliss” adventures. Omg! I am so fortunate and consider myself blessed to have done so. From the beginning to the end I was in awe. Alberto is one of the most gracious, courteous, friendly, down-to-earth humans I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was on time for pick-up, engaging and communicative the entire ride up. He pointed out points of interest and explained local culture while we made our way to a little slice of heaven. You can hear the river flowing as soon as you exit the vehicle, as you approach the “main” area you’re greeted with an amazing view of the river and a very cozy sitting area. Andy was our yoga instructor and, once again, so fortunate to meet her. She listened to us and knew what we needed during our yoga session. She worked us hard but good. I’ve never had a yoga class that allowed us to be in nature, listening to a roaring river and all of the birds. It was a blissful experience. After yoga, Alberto had prepared a little snack. We just sat around and chatted for a while. Then we headed on down to the waterfall. It may not me the biggest waterfall but the setting made it even more breathtaking. We put our clay masks on, basked in the sun, and then took a dip in the little pool. I never knew that standing under a waterfall could be such a magical experience but it was. After that, the magic continued as we made out way to the house of an amazing woman that opened her home to us. We made fresh corn tortillas and then enjoyed a fabulous meal that she had prepared for us. Do you want to talk about authentic Costa Rican cuisine, this is it! Absolutely fabulous! We continued conversing with Alberto and just having a good old time. We were even able to get eggs from the chicken coop. After lunch, we were taking back to our hotel and said farewell to Alberto. I never knew that I could have such an experience, and I am so very grateful for Alberto. I consider this one of the best and literally life-changing experiences I’ve ever had. This is a must do! Especially if you’re looking for a little jungle bliss.

What an incredible experience! We loved doing yoga in the jungle in a beautiful studio. Cara was great! She tailored the class to our needs and had a calming and cheerful energy. Alberto was amazing! He took us to the waterfalls and helped with the clay masks which was so fun and unique. We swam and hung out, then had a delicious lunch at a locals house. It was such an authentic experience. we felt so comfortable and relaxed the whole time. No pressure with schedules. Overall such an amazing time!

The entire experience was great! The yoga session was so relaxing with the rain forest sounds and river surrounding us. The walk down/up to/from the waterfall might be tricky for some (steep, rock path and steps) but you are rewarded with the beautiful little waterfall and use of the blue clay. Fun! Dona Luz welcomed us into her home and helped us make tortillas. The luncheon was delicious-a real authentic Costa Rican meal. Driver Alberto was wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. He even stopped at a few shops for us on our return trip. Thank you for a wonderful day!
