This is your magical one day retreat on vacation! A day of wellness combining yoga, waterfalls, blue clay experience and a unique cultural lunch in a local woman's home. This an opportunity to visit an area that is close to Manuel Antonio but feels so far away. This excursion is off the beaten path and the intention is to experience the rainforest without the hustle and bustle or crowds you can get elsewhere. We are committed to supporting the locals who have maintained a simple lifestyle in the countryside by sharing meals in their homes. Chorro Ecolodge is a family run place that makes you feel at ease and at peace in nature. It has a stunning rancho with a yoga platform overlooking the Naranjo River and you can take a plunge in the waterfall while listening to Toucans and observing the blue morpho butterflies!

The yoga platform and view was so amazing. Kerrie our instructor was knowledgeable and I leaned some new moves. She also makes her own chocolate! The hike was perfect after the yoga and the lunch at Luz’s house was delicious and a very cool experience. One of my favorite tours.

I didn't know what to expect. Let me start there. We travelled with three other couples, all of us close friends who have traveled together before. We have similar interests and a similar vibe. But none of us is a yoga expert, some of us do it occasionally, some rarely, and some clumsily (me). Prior to being in CR, we all voted on excursions to do as a group. Admittedly, this was not on the top of my list (see: clumsy). But there was enough gentle peer pressure for me to concede. Wow, was I in for an incredible surprise. First, Alberto guided us on a magnificent hike that offered beautiful views in a nature so pristine that we would often just pause to appreciate the stillness. He was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna....and a very patient guide. Next, it was to the yoga class with Cara. If I could do yoga every day in that setting, I would would do yoga every day. I usually have a zillion things running through my head, but Cara guided us on a calming retreat among the most breathtaking scenery. I think people typically close their eyes while doing certain yoga poses. But I had my eyes open almost the whole time so not to miss one moment of the visual Zen around me. Talk about being present in the moment but also absent at the same time. Cara was a lovely instructor, patient and helpful, and she surely connected with us as a group -- becoming, if you will, part of our harmony. So cool! After we had the most delicious pineapple, then a trek down to the river, a small waterfall, all of it perfect. We wrapped it up with a delicious meal prepared for us at a local home. This experience was a gem. Don't miss it.

Alberto was an amazing guide, very informative and accommodating to our needs for the day. Beautiful hike, relaxing yoga class, delicious food and refreshing dip in river
