  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The guide (Mario) was excellent. Good river guide and very personable. The ride up the valley to the put in was incredibly beautiful.

Our trip was in February during the dry season, so the rapids were mild not wild, manageable for first timers. The guides were fun and informative, appropriately concerned about safety, and gave good instructions. We lucked out and had Erik as our guide! He was friendly and entertaining; he is usually the kayaker. The scenery along the river is beautiful. The ride was mostly relaxing with blips of excitement as you traverse the rapids. Tucanes was prompt and communicative. They picked us up at our hotel and retrieved other guests on the way as well. The ride to and from the river was long, approximately 2 hours each way. Snacks were fresh fruits, water and ice tea. The lunch was fresh and delicious. I would like to do the tour again when rapids are a bit more challenging! Tuncanes Tours does a great job. Pura Vida! ????
