My wife and I had an absolutely delightful private walking tour of Charleston with Ann this week. She is a life-long resident of Charleston with deep history in the area. So in addition to knowing the history and who did what when and where, she literally has known many of the players of the recent history of the city. We didn't just focus on names and dates, but talked about the gardens and what was grown and blooming. We talked about the characters who inhabit the town. We talked about the architecture and why things are how they are. I have friends coming to town later this summer and we are already talking about scheduling a private tour with them as well. The private tour is so much better than going in a big group. It's definitely worth the investment.
