Mike Fredericks was an amazing tour guide! He was super friendly, helpful and very informed about the history of the Middleton Plantation, as well as that of Charleston in general. From the moment we talked with him on the phone to arrange our pick up, to the end of our tour, he provided stellar service. The tour was well worth it and we’d highly recommend choosing Mike as your guide. Thanks again, Mike! We had a great time touring Middleton Plantation with you and appreciate how you went above and beyond to bring us downtown at the end of our time together.

It was such a pleasure meeting Mike and taking his tour to Middleton Plantation. It's evident that Mike loves what he does, and that he's passionate about Charleston and its rich history. While our tour was of Middleton, he also highlighted many other points of interest in town, driving us through charming neighborhoods and explaining the significance of numerous notable homes and churches. It was more like talking with an old friend than with a tour guide that we'd just met. At Middleton, he never rushed us, even offering to take pictures and waiting while we went to the gift shop. If we had more time in Charleston, I'd have gladly taken some of his other tours, but I guess that will just have to wait until a future trip. I would highly recommend you take Mike's tours if you're interested in an informed explanation of Charleston.

We started out with a short tour of historic Charleston, then drove to Middleton. The plantation grounds were absolutely breathtaking. The flanker home tour was fun. The best part of the trip was Mike, our guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and went way out of his way to make our tour enjoyable and memorable..
