We were very fortunate to have Beatriz as our blue badge guide. She really brought the Roman, Medieval, Civil War and Victorian history of the city to life. We were able to ask lots of questions, which Beatriz was able to answer and expand on. We felt she helped us see the city with fresh eyes and gave us a new perspective on its wide range of architecture. It was a really fun and fascinating 2 hours amid the unexpected but lively crowds who had assembled in bright sunshine for the Chester Half Marathon. In exchange for all her wealth of knowledge, we were only able to help her with her pronunciation of Tudor (chew- da)!
