Ran-Tong is devoted to rescuing abused elephants from all over Thailand and surrounding countries. Every elephant rescued is brought to the sanctuary in Chiang Mai and cared for with great passion and enthusiasm. Our mission is not only geared towards the protection and prevention of abused Elephants in Thailand but also to educate the public about their long history within Thai culture. Founded in 2009, Ran-Tong has rescued over 40 elephants to date with the help of public generosity, support, and private donation they can continue their ongoing vital work. Our priority is animal welfare. At Ran-Tong Save & Rescue Elephant Centre, you will completely get to learn a lot about elephants and have a memorable experience with them.

Traveler pickup is offered

Pickup time is between 7:00-7:30 AM for Half Day Morning and 1:30-2:00 PM for Half Day Afternoon. We pick you up at your hotel/accommodation within 3 kilometers radius of Chiang
Mai Old City. Please inform us of your hotel name and address in advance.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

AWESOME time ... Very impressed with how well the Elephants are treated , housed/ maintained and fed .. All the animals seem very happy to include the dogs. Very informative guides help educate you ona few things, things we didnt know or realize.. Wonderful , quick .lunch.. Highly , highly recommend... Great staff all around from pick-up to return !! thanks

Once in a lifetime experience, getting up close and personal with the elephants as they bath, feed and walk with you. The staff treat the animals with the respect that they deserve and the host is a wonderful ambassador for the animals.
This tour in Chiang Mai is organized by Ran-Tong Save & Rescue Elephant Centre
