Create beautiful jewelry with handcrafting techniques. Beginner friendly and no experience required. In the class, you will be working with classic jewelry handcrafting techniques that are still used by independent shops like us, and in high-end jewelry. It is a unique experience to see firsthand what it takes to make jewelry, and have a piece of shiny silver jewelry that you have made to take home. The class is taught by an experienced silversmith with over 20 years of experience helping and guiding you through working with silver.

I was really excited when I started my course here at Nova in Chiang Mai (I came back to the city for this). I had chosen a 5-day course, which was later reduced to 3 because of the treatment I was given. My enthusiasm was unfortunately dampened by the attitude of the teacher: it was the very first time for me and I had never even used the tools of silversmithing. He was visibly annoyed and bored for the entire duration of the course; every time I asked for advice due to my total inexperience, his response was brusque and just "you have to decide". On the second day I started by saying "if you are bored I am going home". His response was "I'm sleepy". I paid 200€ to have a rough and sleepy teacher? I'm really sorry because the jewellery I made turned out well, but her manners really nipped my happiness in the bud. Such a pity!
