The buildings we went into were great! Our guide, Adam, I did not enjoy as much. From the get-go, I felt like he spoke to our group in a condescending tone which is my biggest pet peeve and he made joke after joke that fell completely flat with the entire group. At one point he was forcefully directing people in our group to move closer to him to make room for other people. It was an inappropriate level of insistence based on the circumstances… there was no one else within a half mile of us. Those people would have used common sense to move if they were in the way. We were a group of 20 standing on a sidewalk where he spent the morning telling us to get close, then took exception to the people who were filling the sidewalk. I asked a few questions. One of which I looked up to see the artists other works to discover he was 100% incorrect. I felt like the tour was scripted and he stuck to it. To me, it felt like he was going through the motions. The tour definitely puts you onto some outstanding interior architecture, but I had much higher expectations based on the glowing reviews.

I saw very amazing architecture during this trip. I lived 45 minutes from Chicago for over 20 years but have not been to these buildings. This tour opened my eyes to appreciate Chicago more.

Jessica was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city’s architecture history. She made the tour fun. Surprising interior architecture that we would never have been able to see if we hadn’t gone.
