Discover the origins of Art Deco while admiring buildings like the Carbide and Carbon Building (now Pendry Chicago), the Chicago Motor Club Building (now the Hampton Inn) and the colorful, but often overlooked, Trustees System Service Building (now the Century Tower)—all of which are designated Chicago landmarks. We had a great experience! Our guide Charles G was knowledgeable, entertaining, and sensitive to each of our respective info needs. We especially enjoyed touring both the exterior and interior of the buildings. We came away with a new appreciation of Art Deco style, designs, and historical context. Would highly recommend.

Our guide, Mary Ann S, was great. We had a very enriching experience and learned about all the decorative motifs on buildings along Wacker Drive and Michigan Ave which we’ve passed many times. She made history come alive with stories of how and why these great buildings were constructed between the world wars.
