Learn about the great architectural landmarks of Michigan Avenue and State Street. The 40 years between 1890 and 1930 saw the creation of some of Chicago’s the most memorable buildings, many of which are featured on this tour. After the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893, Chicago was determined to become a great cultural and commercial metropolis. This tour is a testament to that era's ambitions. See buildings by Daniel Burnham, Louis Sullivan, Holabird and Roche and other noted architects and hear the stories behind the city's architectural gems. This walking tour included many of the architectural treasures in Chicago and was very professionally conducted. I live in Chicago and didn't know about many of the buildings that were included, especially incredible lobbies, and the additional commentary provided by the tour made it amazing and educational. This is a MUST activity for both visitors to Chicago and those that already live here! VERY reasonably priced.

A very interesting and enjoyable tour of the Loop. Our guide, Mark was extremely informed. He presented his information clearly. His enthusiasm for Chicago and its history was infectious. I learned a lot and had a good time.
