I frequently do the walking tours at the CAC, which are an inexpensive way to enjoy Chicago and learn about its architecture, people, culture and history. (They are usually free for members.) This one was a well curated selection of significant buildings built during Chicago’s Golden Age. The docent, Maureen, was excellent! She really helped me understand what I was seeing and put everything into context as we moved through a relatively small portion of this fascinating town. It’s great when you make interesting discoveries of a city you’ve lived in for years!
