Taste four different styles of pizza in about three hours. Learn about Chicago's 10 pizza styles, and discover why there's more to The Windy City than just deep-dish. Go back in some of the kitchens to see how pizzas are made, and taste the differences. Expert doughcents will share the history of Chicago pizza as well other interesting tidbits about the neighborhood you're exploring. We need to know if there are any vegetarians in your group the day before please.

1235 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607, USA Lou Malnati's is at 1235 W. Randolph St. at 11 am. You can also take the CTA Green Line (toward Oak Park) and get off at the Morgan St. stop. It's a 5 minute walk from the station. Guide will meet you at 11 am in the 1st floor bar, wearing a black work shirt with Pizza City USA logo and name on it.

    Learn about the history of the market, the Haymarket Massacre and the founding of May Day. Some of the styles included on this walking tour includes: deep-dish, Neapolitan, Roman al taglio and Sicilian. Along the way, you'll meet some of the owners and pizza makers, and learn about their history and inspiration for creating their unique pizzas. Our doughcents are trained to discuss Chicago's pizza history, and can talk about highlights from the book, "Pizza City USA."

  • If you are driving, please leave extra time to find parking. On West Loop Tour, guests not allowed to leave cars in Lou Malnati's parking lot for more than an hour.

The food was excellent and it was an easy walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided the history behind both the restaurants and the food.

This was such a fun way to experience Chicago. Jeff was an excellent tour guide. We not only learned about the different types of pizza, but we also learned how it’s made and we learned a bit about the history of the restaurants we were going to. Come with a big appetite and remember it’s a marathon not a sprint! Don’t fill up too early!

Knowing my love for pizza, my In-laws bought my wife and I two tickets for the pizza crawl. I've heard of this before, but living here in Chicago for 18+years I thought I knew most of the best pizza places...I was wrong. Our Doughson (Nathalie) did a great job of explaining the history of each restaurant we went to and the difference in the way each place created their signature pies! I highly recommend this tour, it's a good time and you'll definitely have your fill of pizza. (I recommend that you take advantage of the to go box as you'll be able to take some home with you!)
