To be guided through a sacred place by someone who grew up exploring and enjoying the legacy of his culture, that was our experience with our guide Henry from Lakin Tours. We felt like we had one of the best interactive and interesting lectures we have ever received. This place is full of history and mystery and Henry did an amazing job presenting to us both in his unique and passionate storytelling style. Expect to learn some Mayan on this tour and make sure you have plenty of water because even after the fantastic tour, there are still some other areas to see. This archaeological site is much more expansive than I imagined. This review is the honest opinion by me and my family (4 of us in total). We travel almost all year and this is definitely one of the best guides we have ever had. We highly recommend this tour with Mayan local Henry. He was incredible and made our Chichén Itzá experience even more special. Yuum botik!

The whole tour was an experience! Henry was an amazing guide, super friendly and knowledgeable. My partner and I are so happy we decided to do this private tour, it was personal and I'm sure much better enjoyed than in a group of 15+. It was a pleasure to be in the presence of a Mayan descendent and to hear the tongue first hand. Unforgettable! Thank you Henry!

Maria was a wonderful guide - very helpful - tons of useful information, brought us around every part of the ruins city. Way better than the large groups from the theme parks. She had a deep knowledge of the archaeology and brought a tablet to show photos that helped bring to life many of the stories. The tablet was a very helpful add to the tour. She also bought our tickets, was on-time, and got us through the gates easily.
