Leave Santiago for the serene central Chilean coast on this 8-hour guided tour. Artisans craft the clay into casserole dishes and bowls ideal for preparing traditional Chilean dishes like cazuela, porotos, and of course, pastel de choclo. In fact, if your pastel de choclo is cooked in anything other than a Pomaire dish, it is not quite authentic.

There were no memorable parts, unfortunately. I had deliberately--at some cost--extended my stay in Santiago JUST to take this trip, and the morning of the trip I waited 1-1/2 hours for a pickup which never came. After continually trying to contact the tour operators, I enlisted the help of my hotel staff, only to learn, several hours later, that the trip had been cancelled. My tour fee is being refunded, but the additionally costs I bore as a result of extending my stay for this tour, of course, were not.

Luis was great! He was so nice and knowledgeable. He really watched out for us. He even checked the weather for us to see if we needed a jacket. He was so thoughtful and made our tour amazing! We were treated like family. I would recommend him as a tour guide to everyone. The tour was fun also.

Giovanni se merece un aplauso! Gran guía y conductor, transmite seguridad y conocimiento. El recorrido está bien, aunque hubo cambios respecto a la ruta original, el tiempo en cada parada lo manejamos en mutuo acuerdo. Una linda recorrida por la costa, nos llevamos una buena experiencia y Giova fue un gran compañero de ruta. Este es el ejemplo de que un buen trato hace que la experiencia sea altamente recomendable! Cabe aclarar que el tour es personal, vas a ser asignado a un chofer/guía único para vos y las personas que te acompañen. No es un grupo de viaje. En este sentido sería aconsejable que tuvieran una tarjeta a la vista para saber que son parte de la empresa de turismo, esto transmite más seguridad al turista en el momento de subirse a un auto particular.
