Located approximately 2 hours north of Santiago, near the city of Los Andes, lies the beautiful town of Portillo. You don’t want to miss this if you love snow and nature. Portillo surprises many with the beauty of the valley in which is located, a big lagoon called “Laguna del Inca” (Inca’s Lagoon) associated with a beautiful legend that inspires love to first time visitors of Portillo. This service can be on shared transportation with a maximum group of 7 persons per vehicle. Yes, we do have face masks. We ask tour participants to please bring their own masks, ideally reusable. As we are an ecological company we prefer not to have to use disposable masks to avoid contamination.

    Located 28 kilometers from the city, by the International road. It is a geological formation produced by erosion, with impressive rocky walls at the bottom of which the Aconcagua River passes. We recommend the experience of this tour! Me and my wife went along with a group of about 6 more tourists in a van driven by the friendly driver Pablo. In fact, a big difference besides the good mood, was his great historical knowledge shared during the journey, which fueled even more our curiosity to know more about the local culture and about Chile! Portillo is a snow park that is also open (free of charge) for those who do not want to ski, it is a great option for those who want to venture with the family, take lots of photos, enjoy mountainous landscapes with ice, rocks and nature. Tip: If you are well packed, there is no need to buy all the waterproof parts. In our case, we already bought in Brazil waterproof boots and cold clothes (first skin), so we only need to rent waterproof pants and 1 glasses, it was enough. Quiet route, pleasant day and everything went well both on the way and back. We really liked!!!

The MTO agency rather disorganized, we were cancelled without reason the day before and then told that the tour was done. Then they complied with everything stipulated. The tour itself is very good, all the stops indicated were made and the times were very well set. We highlight the work of driver and guide Pablo who did his job very well and the most enjoyable walk.
