The Sollipulli volcano has the largest crater in South America. Inside the crater there is a huge glacier, which is one of the most important water sources in Araucanía, with an area of 24 square kilometers. The trail runs through forests of ancient monkey puzzle trees and huge coihue trees, as well as ancient volcanic eruptions. The tour offers an educational and respectful look at the Mapuche worldview, the wild nature of this territory and its inhabitants.

Lejos una de las experiencias más enriquecedoras que he tenido en el Distrito de Lagos y Volcanes en Chile. Un trekking con diferentes paisajes que termina con el premio mayor: una vista espectacular, un crater único y uno de los glaciares más singulares que me ha tocado ver, en definitiva 10 de 10!! El equipo de Turismo FlorAnimal es altamente profesional y muy cálido, con preocupación de principio a fin. El catalogo de experiencias que ofrecen en Araucanía Andina permite a los viajeros conocer a cabalidad esta área tan maravillosa y prístina, excelentes explicaciones acompañados de un servicio muy cordial y atento. A diferencia de Araucanía Lacustre (Pucón y Villarrica) esta zona aun mantiene esa naturaleza real poco masiva con atractivos únicos (Parque Nacional Conguillío uno de los highlights) . Me faltó seguir recorriendo la zona, pero cuando vuelva lo haré con FlorAnimal, muchísimas gracias!!
