We traveled as a couple and visited Chisinau, Gagauzia, Cricova, Orhei Monasteries & Transnistria... A couple special notes: 1. I have traveled extensively and Moldova was my #100 country visited. The biggest endorsement I can give, in the shortest words... the short visit here brought Moldova into my TOP 5 FAVORITE COUNTRIES visited. 2. Something WAY above & beyond from this company: I expressed interest in purchasing a vehicle in Moldova and importing it to USA (a Soviet-made vintage Lada) and Igor helped facilitate the search, negotiation, bank purchase with private seller, various repairs of vehicle, and export of vehicle. Obviously this is outside of the scope of this tour company, but I mention this to point out how unbelievably accommodating the guides were for our visit as well as making this purchase happen in the weeks afterword. As far as during the tour, we stayed at the Nobil Luxury Hotel, which I highly recommend if your budget permits. It was absolutely 5-star all the way. Our transportation was always punctual and comfortable, and our local guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Moldova made it's way into my "top 5" because of the great food, friendly-laid back people, beautiful countryside and sites that seem to be mostly "undiscovered" by many tourists, and also the value per dollar. We had a great time all around.
