In the way to Valladolid we will stop at Suytun sinkhole (cenote). Cenotes are wonders of nature found only in the Yucatán Peninsula. Cenotes are like portals to a different world. To the ancient Maya, cenotes were passageways to the underground world, were also associated with the rain god Chaac, and sometimes used for sacrificial offerings. Cenote Zaci is in the heart of Valladolid, is one of the biggest cenotes in the Yucatan peninsula. This is a semi-open cenote, like a lake. You will get refreshed in its turquoise waters. Cenote Suytun is a unique cave cenote and it has one spark of light coming down the middle. Birds and silence you will hear. Enjoy this magical place. Valladolid is the perfect city where you can see the mix of cultures (Spanish & Maya). It was the second city built by Spanish colonizers. Valladolid is a perfect place to appreciate the historical fusion of cultures and of course, to enjoy the delicious local cuisine of Yucatan that many restaurants offer.

Do not pay for a tour their ripping you off and they only charge 120 pesos to get in at each cenote. The city is not that big you can rent a car for 300 pesos a day.

Hermosa ciudad colonial a una hora de Cancún..clima increíble! El parque central es muy hermoso y la iglesia cuenta muchas historias...una de ellas, la del Niño de Atocha. Sus taxis son muy particulares y bien presentados..
