The small group wine tasting is a pleasant and fun way for a first introduction to the local wines. We will taste 4 different wines from the region Montilla-Moriles in a nice little shop while enjoying some delicious snacks. Together with an expert you will learn a lot about the PX wines from this area.

Nice start to the evening with a range of the local Montilla wines. Fransisco gave us some tasty tapas to accompany them, and was clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was also a mine of information about his city and where and how to eat and drink. Thanks again...

The wine tasting offers 4 tasty varieties of the Pedro Ximenez grape, a mildly aromatic white, two sherries and a sweet desert wine. Accompanied by tortilla de patatas and Spanish olives. The host was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history and information about wine growing in the region, what the locals like to drink and the techniques used to create all the variations of fortified wine with the PX grape.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour, we learned a lot about the local wines which helped make the menus at the nearby restaurants make much more sense. The wine pairing with the tapas was fantastic. If you are interested in trying and learning about the local wines you won’t want to miss this tour!
