Wandering the corridors of the old prison was really a strange feeling. The building and cells which are assessable were in good shape. It was a pity not being able to walk into the old parts, which are more of lost place, but visible behind a glass wall. The stories about the inmates and the interactive games/performances made the experience more real and comprehensible.

Interesting place. Amazing stories would go back again in a few years. Coffee shop could be expanded

It's 11€ to get in, which we thought a little steep, but on reflection, we really enjoyed this museum. The jail is pretty much as it was, so it feels quite eerie at times, but it does a great job of telling its history. The self-guided tour is great, as all the info is given with the accompanying booklet, meaning you can go around at your own pace. There's a small shop selling hot drinks but no actual café on site. Luckily, it's not too far from the bars along the river.
