    From Club 55, you drive along the N332 taking the exit to Xalon/Jalon and enter the beautiful Jalon Valley, famous for the vineyards and the stunning almond and cherry blossoms in Spring time! Stop at the Jalon winery store which has a wide range of local wines, olive oil and products on sale.

  • Carrer Coll de Rates, 03724, Alicante, Spain
    On this full day tour, you travel through Parcent and Alcalali before ascending the stunning Col de Rates, the famous mountain climb where all the top cycling teams practise each year. With fabulous 360 degree views of the Costa Blanca and even across the Mediterranean Sea to Ibiza. You can stop at the peak (Col de Rtaed Restaurant) where you can enjoy a drink and take in the panoramic views.

  • El Castell de Guadalest, Guadalest, Spain
    The castle in Guadalest is also a must see, walk through one of the prettiest villages in the Costa Blanca. We highly recommend walking up to the castle, you will have stunning views of the turquoise reservoir below and a panoramic viewpoint, excellent for photos. There are a selection of restaurants and gift shops at the top too. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the village. We also recommend having lunch in one of the many restaurants here.

  • Castell de Castells, Castell de Castells, Spain
    We now recommend driving back to the mountains and heading for Castel de Castells. This is a stunning road through the mountains, which includes two great driving features, the 'big dipper' and the 'helter skelter'. Then you reach the village of Castell de Castells and start your descent back down to the coast toward Pedreguer and then on to Xavea /Javea. You can stop at the Denia / La Sella Marriot Hotel for refreshments or a washroom stop. Should be a 60 minute drive.
  • Parque Natural del Montgo, Denia, Spain
    After descending back to sea level you pass through Pedreguer, Xara and then drive alongside the imposing and majestic Montgo Mountain always impressive and changing colours through the day and ending with the beautiful sunset reds and oranges.

  • Ctra. del Cap de Sant Antoni, 03730 Xàbia, Alicante, Spain
    Before entering Javea, we head along another winding coastal road along side of the Montgo mountain and then toward the Cap de San Antonio, where you drive along the peninsular to the lighthouse and a point where we are surrounded on 270 degrees by water. Another nice photo opportunity. Great views back down to Javea. then you head back to Benissa and Club 55.

We had a fabulous 1/2 day driving around the countryside. Gary suggested a great route and the roads were perfect. Ladies, take an Alice band to keep the hair out of your eyes, unless you have a silk scarf. The picnic provided was great. Definitely recommend this either for tourists or if you’re a car enthusiast. Wonderful time.

Mein Mann hat mir den Ausflug als Überraschung geschenkt Und selten zuvor hat er mir so meinen Geschmack getroffen. Es war sooooooooo schön! Die nette Begrüßung von David war der Anfang eines unvergesslichen Nachmittages. Mein Mann hatte den MG gemietet und es ging auch direkt nach den Formalitäten los. Davis fuhr voraus und wir hinten nach. Wir waren immer in Funkkontakt. Wir machten an den schönsten Stellen einen Halt und hatten einmalige Blicke aufs Meer. Super Organisation, die durch die persönliche Art von David unterstrichen wird. Wir werden so einen Ausflug wieder machen, wenn wir zurück kommen!

A fabulous experience, which will live long in the memory. Spent a glorious few hours driving a classic 1960's MGA around the beautiful mountains, villages and coastline of the Costa Blanca. David was our excellent host and guide, leading us to the beautiful mountains around Benitachel and Cap de San Antoni. For the petrol-heads among you, the MGA had been slightly modified to make for a safer and smoother drive, with addition of disc brakes, power steering and a 5 speed box and was a wonderful drive. Club 55 offer a number of classic vehicles for this experience and we could have chosen from a Porsche 550, Mustang convertible, Beetle convertible and (although not available on the day) a TR3, amongst others. With the sun shining and a couple of stops throughout the afternoon, to stretch our legs, take in the scenery and have a 'cafe con leche', it really was a special few hours.
