Mahahual Ecotours’s owner Victor Rosales started working in tourism in 2006 as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor, worked for 7 years in contact with tourist in the Scuba Diving world, not only in México but also worked in a few countries around the world. After traveling and working abroad I realized how amazing the Yucatán peninsula is, and no one was offering activities related to nature, friends and family said that I should open a business using my local knowledge and expertise in the area. So in November 2013 we took the first official bookings.

C'était génial, Victor est un super guide. On a été à Chacchoben et il nous a expliqué toute l'histoire du site archéologique. On a vu un Armadillo et des singes araignées, dont un bébé. Je recommande fortement ce guide. Merci encore pour la journée !

Victor customized our tour to include searching for other wildlife beyond birds, as we had requested. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area, and also shared his interests in helping species like ocelot, jaguar, and turtle to be protected and healthy. We also got a home cooked Mayan fish lunch! We would recommend a tour with him if you want a real-world exposure to what Costa Maya has to offer.

We had a fantastic day of birdwatching. Great service. Victor was an amazing guide. Knows the area very well and where to find the birds. This is a must do for any birder.
