Start your day as you hike across the 2 mile Arenal Hanging Bridges and see the jungle from high above the forest. Your naturalist guide will teach you about Costa Rican culture, history, while you experience what we like to call "nature therapy." Immerse yourself in nature while you try to spot different species of plants, animals, and birds for approx. 2.5 hrs along the way. Appreciate 15 different bridges, 6 are hanging. After, head to the Arenal Volcano Reserve. Hike through amazing forest and breath-taking lava flow. We’ll head through easy trails that skirt the base of the Arenal Volcano. You'll love our fresh, amazing meal in one of La Fortuna's secret hangout at El Salto waterfall park. Finish the day at the stunning La Fortuna Waterfall. This is sure to be a good workout as there are 500 steps to get to the down and get back up! Have an opportunity to take lots of pictures and swim in the cool waters of one of the largest and most breathtaking waterfalls in Arenal!

We are happy to pick up at most hotels and rental homes in the La Fortuna area. Please let us know the exact location so we can be sure to pick you up or you can meet at our El Salto location before the start of the tour.

The tour was fantastic! Such an amazing area to see so many beautiful sites and so much amazing wildlife. Our guide Samantha was the best!! She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the local flora and fauna and different species and on the Volcano. She shared tons of history too

We did this tour a couple of weeks ago. Our guide Santos (sp?) was AMAZING!!! It was a such a great day. We started at the hanging bridgesl, where we saw some spider monkeys, tarantulas, and other assorted wildlife. Santos did an excellent job explaining the wildlife to us. After that we had an impromptu stop at the side of the road to see a coati. After this we went to the hike the volcano (where we saw about a billion orchids, some white faced monkeys, large turkey like birds). We got an informative talk about the history of the volcano, the explosion of 1968 (?) and such. There was a lunch after the volcano, after which we went to the waterfall for swimming. Although the water was cold, it wasn't super-cold, and it was swimmable. It was fun attempting to swim up to the waterfall (which isn't really doable as the water keeps pushing you back). But you get a good view, and it is a great location.

This was a great well rounded tour. Our guide was super knowledgeable! It definitely helped having a guide through the hanging bridges to spot animals, birds, and insects. It’s a very tiring day but worth it. We luckily had perfect weather for hiking and viewing Arenal volcano.
