    On this tour, we will travel a low-traffic route for approximately 8 miles (13 km) each way. The two main attractions of the area, the majestic Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal, will give us incredible views on either side, as we cross picturesque towns, forests, and streams. It is important to highlight that you do NOT need to be an expert cyclist for this tour. The tour is an excellent combination of nature and recreational, non-competitive sport; however, we can adapt the route to your desired difficulty level and extend the tour to a little more than 8 miles (13 km) if needed. Along the ride, it is possible to encounter wildlife species such as coatis, monkeys, toucans, and herons, among others. A guide will accompany you on the tour and our assistance van will be near, in case you need anything.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We had a private biking tour (approx. 10-mile, somewhat hilly) around Arenal Lake. Carlos -- our guide -- was excellent, very personable and informative of things in the area. Along with support van (Charie was the driver and prepared a nice fruit lunch), we had a memorable ride along the lake with a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano...highly recommend!

We appreciated that the tour guide and driver let us cycle more even after we had returned the bikes to the van for a pause.
