A great way to connect to nature with a peaceful tour through the mangroves on a single or double kayak or on a stand-up paddle board. Take this tour at sunrise or at sunset (depending on the tides) accompanied by a local, experienced guide with a stop at a secluded black sand beach for refreshments. *Minimum of 2 passengers needed to operate at this rate. Single supplement applies if booking as a solo traveler or reach out and we can attempt to match you up with an existing group.

    Starting in Pelada at the mouth of the Rio Montaña, you will kayak peacefully through the mangroves where there are over 120 different species of birds and wildlife. The river runs parallel to the ocean with the sound of the crashing waves paired with the sounds of nature as your backdrop. You will eventually find yourself at a secluded black sand beach only reachable by water with plenty of time to explore, relax and enjoy some included refreshments.

We had an amazing time with Abraham as our guide through the mangroves! We would definitely recommend Tierra Costa to anyone looking for a personalized experience. Ashley was great at organizing everything and communicating with us, especially when we got lost trying to find the meeting place. We loved our experience so much that my husband signed up for a surf lesson 2 days later!

Ashley and Abraham from Tierra Costa did a great job in planning a safe and interesting kayak trip through the beautiful mangroves, pointing out beautiful white herons and a a few hawks and vultures. They have a detailed knowledge of the area based on years of experience. They were careful to ensure that we all had safe and easy access in and out of the kayaks. Highly recommended.
