We pick up all travellers at the different hotels in San Jose downtown, Heredia downtown and Alajuela downtown.

The published pick up time is for hotels located in San Jose downtown. If your hotel or pickup point is located in Escazu, Santa Ana, Belen Heredia or Alajuela, the time will be different and we will indicate the most exact time exactly 24 hours from the tour date.

    We will visit the Coffee Plantations where we will learn the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce some of the best coffee in Costa Rica and around the world. The careful process involved in the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean will then be illustrated

  • Poas Volcano National Park, Costa Rica
    After the coffee tour, we will continue to Poas Volcano National Park, where there is a noticeable change in temperature and exuberant vegetation of the cloud forest. The Poás Volcano, is an active 2,708-metre (8,885 ft) stratovolcano. The crater of the volcano is over a mile across and 1050 feet deep.  It has erupted 40 times since 1828, including April, 2017. At the Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, and hike on a trail to the beautiful Botos Lagoon as we learn about the different ecosystems in the park.

  • La Paz Waterfall and Peace Lodge Gardens, Vara Blanca, Costa Rica
    After Poás, we will continue to La Paz Waterfall Garden, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch (rated 4 Forks by the Costa Rican Tourism Council) that includes multiple selections of Traditional Costa Rican dishes and much more.   At La Paz Waterfall Gardens we will go through walking trails surrounded by lush tropical rain forest. Here we will appreciate flowing white rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies, monkeys, and hummingbirds. There are also, educational animal exhibits to enjoy such as the Aviary, the Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Garden, Serpentarium, Jungle Cats Exhibit, and the Frog Exhibit. This is definitely a tour enjoyed by nature lovers from all ages.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Our guide Roger was the best In the business. He loves his job and it shows. And, afterward made me want to get a job with him. All his attention to detail was perfect. Very generous man. Very kind man. If your lucky enough to have him as your guide you will know what I'm talking about. The sites and sounds were spectacular. The history is rich and deep in culture and is cherished to this day.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and I learned so much about Costa Rica. From the delicious coffee to the stunning waterfalls, this was an excellent way to spend my Saturday.

Our guide Charlton and driver Christopher were friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide had an infectious enthusiasm and happiness that totally made the day wonderful. Doka is a fun experience that makes you appreciate what goes into you morning Coffee! We did not see Poas Volcano, as the cloud cover was too thick, but we tried. La Paz waterfall gardens are an amazing overview of Costa Rica. This tour with Destiny only as a maximum of 12 people… we actually had eight on our tour and it made for intimate experience an ability to ask all the questions we wanted. Highly recommend!
