This tour is not cheap, but it is a private tour so you control it. Michael was a very knowledgeable and experienced guide, and made our tour something special. We didn't see all we hoped to see, but Mother Nature is never predictable. But we did see lots of things we would have missed without Michael. And his spotting scope was fantastic. Because the park was so crowded (high tourist season) most of the animals we spotted were pretty far off the path. Without his scope we would not have seen as well. Overall this guided tour was definitely worth it. And Michael was a great guide.

Our guide, Michael, was very knowledgable and spoke perfect English. We learned a lot and, without his expert eye, we would have missed seeing spider monkeys, viper snake, toucans, and many other insects and birds. Michael also assisted us in taking amazing photographs of what we saw. The Mystic Park that we visited was extremely well maintained and easy to traverse. The bridges were exciting to walk across with amazing views from high above. Our driver, George, provided us beverages and a safe drive. Definitely worth it!

Zender is a phenomenal tour guide spotting various animals with his telescope, responding to questions with excellent English and humor, and providing insights into jungle activity and Costa Rican culture. He is friendly, picked us up at the hotel, and offered good snacks at the end of the tour. Highly recommended!
