Worth the drive. Worth the 300+ steps down - and back up! The steps are solid, with a good handrail on both sides. There is a :30 minutes trail walk to the beginning of the stairs. Other trail options if you want more.

We learned so much about the fun and important facts of Costa Rica from our talented and dedicated guide Esteban. This excursion was well organized. It started with a coffee and chocolate tasting/learning about the process of their making. Followed by viewing of sloths, hiking in the rainforest, seeing tarantulas, venomous snakes, a gorgeous waterfall…These were some of the highlights of the day. I would highly recommend this excursion. We had a fun day.

Overall we liked the tour We were lucky it turned out to be a private tour and weather was great (no rain) The colour of the water of Rio Celeste didnt disappoint and the sloth tour was awesome, we saw sloths, taucans, butterflies, snake, frogs ????
