The caves are amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The route we took wasn’t the one we wanted hence the 4 stars. We wanted to snorkel and swim more than we did. But…we saw beautiful stalagmites and stalactites and little catfish, blind fish and most amazing a tarantula that followed a tree root down into the cave. Cool for sure. The food for lunch was OK too. All in all worth the trip but I wish we swam more.

This was probably the most amazing and beautiful place I have ever been. It is so natural- no installed light, paths, etc., just the cave as God made it. The water is as clear as drinking water, and the limestone formations are so interesting. Our guide Victor told us so many details about how the caves were discovered and how the various formations develop. I did a two hour tour today and would love to return for a much longer one. I also had lunch in the restaurant there and it was delicious and filling. The facilities for restrooms and changing were spacious and clean. Our fee included wet suits, water shoes, life jacket, helmet, headlight, and a towel at the end, as well as a locker for our things during the tour. I was skeptical going in about wearing wet suits that had by used by so many others, but I was proven wrong. They all looked pretty new. All of the equipment I used and saw was clean and in great condition. I can’t recommend Rio Secreto tours highly enough!

A really nice tour and we had a great guide. We loved the secret river. However the buffet lunch is not very good. As well, you cannot bring a camera with you which is why they send a photographer in with you. The price is $99 for the photos which is a complete rip off. A single photo is $25 which is also highway robbery.
