Porto should be know for it's craft beer as well as it's wine! Paulo is very passionate about craft beer and selecting great tastings for our group. He also made some great recommendations for additional beer and food options in Porto that made our trip even better!

Wow what an amazing tour and experience in Porto with Taste of Porto! They were highly recommended within a Porto Facebook group and they did not disappoint. I booked the Vintage & Port Wine Food Tour and my guide was Ivo. It was lovely to meet Ivo, hear his experience as a chef and spend a few hours with him showing me the Bolhao market, meeting vendors, tasting wine, visiting local stores/restaurants, hearing all the history of Porto, and understanding the connections of the Portuguese food to the life, history of family and roots of Portugal. Ivo is extremely knowledgeable, very personable and overall an amazing enthusiast of food and life in Portugal. He also gave us recommendations for restaurants, day trips, and other sights around town. Overall, a great tour from a local which was exactly what we were looking for!

We took the Craft Beer and Food Tour with Andre. We were initially scheduled for the week prior, but unfortunately, shortly after the tour began my husband became ill. Both Andre and the company were very attentive, made sure we got back to our apartment safely, and rescheduled our tour to meet our schedule. Based on how caring Andre was, we made sure that when we rescheduled would be when he would be guiding us. As it turned out, the tour didn't have any other participants, so it was like a private tour. Andre walked us through the streets, sharing his knowledge of not only the craft beer industry and traditional foods, but also added his knowledge of both Porto and Portugal. At each stop, he made selections of different beer and foods to try. As things were presented to us, he wove a story about each drink or food item. He readily answered any and all questions we presented to him. Throughout the hours spent with him, we felt like old friends sharing stories. We highly recommend this tour (and Andre!) for anyone visiting Porto.
The one suggestion I would recommend is to also include food items that would be traditionally ordered to share or eaten for locals going out with friends. Part of the desired experience is to not only try traditional foods and beer, but to also be part of the culture.
