The tour was brilliantly run and very generous in the amount of coffee and chocolate you can taste. Perfect amount of information about the history of the family’s coffee farm, the coffee journey from fruit to cup and showing how a coffee should be properly brewed. The tour is also not naive in their approach in only showing and teaching the Costa Rican way of brewing/dripping coffee. They also demonstrate the Italian method for example so are not biased. The tour was like clockwork in moving around from different tasting stations. Our guide Roberto was brilliant in educating our group, had a great sense of humour and spoke excellent English! The tour also offer cacao tea, which is a great alternative for people who don’t like coffee (my wife). The tea is absolutely delicious by the way! The tour ends at the store where you can buy all the coffee you have sampled. North Fields have also just launched an online shop which they can deliver worldwide via DHL! Most importantly of all, the coffee produced by the family run farm is sensational and I couldn’t recommend the tour highly enough! Book it!

Very detailed and well put together tour and tastings. Alberto as a guide walked us through the property and different stations explaining in detail first how chocolate is created and then coffee while also showing us each step and tasting different types of each. Very well done and great location in la fortuna
