  • Our studio is located in a typical and narrow street of morro da Sé Cathedral, in a walking distance you will find Sé Cathedral, Ribeira, D. Luis I Bridge, Guindais, São Bento Station, and the neighbourhood of Sé itself it's a typical and magical place full of inspiring spots.

Doing a water color painting with Hugo do Lago in Porto, Portugal, was a lot of fun. Hugo does the hard work of providing you with a drawing of a scene in Porto. He then directs you on how to paint the scene. At the end you will have a nice souvenir suitable for framing.

Hugo was a very interesting and attentive teacher. He brought our artwork alive by telling us the history of the subject we were painting. A morning spent in the calm environment of Hugo’s studio is so enjoyable and relaxing. The demonstrations were very clear, easy to follow and every student was made to fell that their artwork was special. If I’d had longer in Porto I would love to have attended. Second class.

Hugo was amazing:skilled, supportive, kind, generous. As a retired longtime teacher, Hugo gets a two full thumbs rating from me. If you have any interest in dipping yourself and your brush into watercolors, you’ll be glad you signed up for this. And you’ll have a lovely momento of your time in Porto.
