    The traditional village of Kritsa, a historic village rich in legends, gorges, archeological and religious monuments and monuments.

  • Katharo Plataeu, Agios Nikolaos, Greece
    The Lower Plateau (altitude 1250m), a plateau famous for the Cretan dwarf hippopotamus fossils found in the area. The plateau has a wonderful landscape surrounded by many legends and stories dating back to the Ottoman era.

  • Dikteon Cave, Psichro, Greece
    Lassithi Plateau (altitude 1150m). More than 10,000 traditional windmills operated in the area until a few decades ago. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Plateau was actually one of the first wind farms in Europe. The Diktaio Cave, that is, the birthplace of Zeus, is located in the village of Psychro (altitude 840m).

  • Krasi, Krasi, Greece
    As we descend, we make a short stop in the village of Krasi and photograph the favorite plane of the famous Cretan writer Nikos Kazantzakis. The perimeter of the plane tree is about 24 meters and is estimated to be 2400 years old. It is also said that each measure of its perimeter corresponds to the age of 100 years.

Wir haben die Tour zur Hölle des Zeus gebucht. Am Hotel in Agios Nikolaos wurden wir von Georges abgeholt. Es spricht sehr gut deutsch. Eine sehr schöne Tour um den östlichen Teil (Lasithi) von Kreta um die Hochebenen und traditionelle Dörfer zu erkunden. Von der Zeus Höhle waren wir nicht überzeugt. Das anschließende Mittagessen mit Wein war sehr lecker. Vielen lieben Dank an Georges für die tollen Informationen und eine sichere Tour.

The tour was excellent, with spectacular sights and views and a delicious lunch included in the price. The driver, Mr Panos, was helpful and professional. Highly recommended.

Really amazing tour, small group in a 4×4 made it feel personal. Panos was accommodating, friendly, personate and really knowledgeable about Crete's history, mythology and present day goings-on. It's clear that he cares about the local bussinesses and the fact that he takes really good photos is a plus. The tour was great, Panos made it phenomenal. Thankyou to him.
