Visit the famous Skistho's Dog Shelter up in the hills , pick up a lovely dog and join our experienced 'hiker' guide for a beautiful walk through the hills. Where you will have the opportunity to to enjoy the breath-taking scenery and nature, whilst giving a dog a well deserved walk . Next stop is Maria's house a Greek local lady who is passionate about Greek food and cooking. You will learn how to cook traditional Greek dishes and you will enjoy a delicious lunch in a peaceful and tranquil surrounding served with local wine , water and soft drinks.     In the midst of the lush hills on the island of Skiathos a group of volunteers have created a haven for stray dogs that are looking for their forever homes. To give the dogs a safe place and a location, that would provide both cool winds during hot summer days, privacy and calmness in the evenings. The local monastery (Evangelistria), has offered a piece of land out of town the Islands Landfill site.

We had a lovely day out and particularly enjoyed our walk with the dogs. This was followed by a cooking demonstration and a nice lunch at the taverna. Thanks to Michael our guide.

Brilliant day out! Well organised and a must for dog and food lovers. Great to combine the dog walking in the morning and work up an appetite to enjoy the delicious local freshly prepared food afterwards. Definitely recommend ????

What a fantastic experience. They do an amazing job with the dogs. The guide - Michael was brilliant and so funny. Went to a taverna after for a cooking lesson and a taste of traditional Greek food. Would highly recommend
