By far one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Elafonissi is situated on the south west coast. A tropical effect is created by its white and pink coral sands. Head to the right for shallow water in a small enclosed lagoon ideal for the children. A walk through the lagoon to the islet is most worthwhile as you will discover this unique coastline.

    We will make a stop at a nice restaurant in Elos. Tuesdays and Sundays we do a roundtrip returning from another road and the stop is in Amygdalokefali.

Beach was beautiful. Transported by coach bus, and guide was helpful. However, it was not properly disclosed how long you would be traveling on the bus. We were picked up at 7:45, the first pickup, and continued driving picking up passengers through 9:30. Then, some passengers were dropped off for a different excursion approximately 30 minutes away. After, the we continued our trip to the beach, finally reaching our destination at 11:45. We had 4 hours at the beach. After the 1 hour stop in Elos, we drove back to pick up the other passengers and continue our trip home. Arrived back at 19:00. Total time on the bus was about 6-7 hours for a 4 hour beach trip.

It was a wonderful day! Appreciated the stops along the way. Next time I come it would be in July or August ( the water will be warmer)

Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing very interesting facts about the island and points of interest as we passed. Driver was excellent and navigated the tricky roads expertly. The beach is breathtaking and the stops along the way add to the experience. Went mid-May so not high season, and had plenty of space on bus and at the beach. Would probably be more crowded in July/August.
