Near the Dikteo Cave, which according to the Myth Zeus was born, God of the ancient Greeks. Includes topics related to the tradition of Greek mythology, Minoan civilization and rural life of Crete.

    In the village square of Krasi, there are three plane trees, the trademarks of the village. The most important of them is the platan in the center of the square, which is considered to be the oldest and most majestic of the plane trees in Crete.

    Passing through the biggest forest on the island, where the roads are non-existent, and the mountains reach a height of 1.500 meters, there will be a refreshment stop at a local kafenion.

    In Kritsa, which is a traditional lower mountain village, you get to have a little walk to see the local craft shops and you have time for a refreshment stop.

We did the Katharo Route with Jeff. It was awesome. A fantastic way to see the sights of the mountains. The group is small so we all got know each other. Jeff was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from geology to horticulture and ecology and history and culture. All the stops were amazing . We really liked the lunch plenty of food, water, wine and raki -a comfortable sit down meal with the others on the tour. Very well organised.

Gregory is very nice. Very good driver and professional. We had a great day. Visit to a sheepfold. Visit to a Monastery. Nice Cretan meals. Beautiful view of the dam. No suggested sale. It was great.

Excellent day, discovered a beautiful landscape, with a good meal, to do absolutely! As a guide we had Gregory, thank you to him it was great, in addition to being guide he is very good photographer, BRAVO. Philou and Nat.
