Wine Adventure Tour by Chania Wine Tours  Spend a full day swirling, sipping, and tasting through western Crete with wine professionals. Perfect for honeymoons, birthdays, or other special occasions. Vasili and Anna Maria, the owners of Chania Wine Tours, are Greek-Americans that returned to their ancestral home of Crete. They are passionate wine people- Vasili owns vineyards and Anna Maria is a Certified Sommelier.  The first half of the day is dedicated to olive oil. Take in the endless olive trees at the Cave of Saint John the Hermit, learn all about olive oil production at Biolea Estate olive mill, and visit the oldest olive tree in the world! The second half of the day is for wine! Visit the vineyards and tasting room at Karavitakis Winery. Learn how to taste wine properly and how grapes are grown. Enjoy 6 wines. Then to Manousakis Winery for a tour of the winery to learn how wine is made before enjoy 5 more wines. Full lunch with unlimited wine is served on their terrace.

This review is long overdue. My wife and I had a complete blast with Chania Wine Tours on our honeymoon. Maria was an extremely informative guide-- we live in the SF Bay Area and have done Napa dozens of times, we learned more from Maria than from any other tasting experience. Would absolutely book again next time we are in Crete.

Our olive oil tour and wine tasting with Anna Maria was beyond amazing! And I highly recommend Chania Wine Tours over any other We were given a detailed tour of the olive mill explained in detail how organic olive oil is made from picking the olives to cleaning crushing cold pressed the ancient way then bottling to bring us the most pure fresh olive oil Crete is so famous for. Along the way she shared with us very fascinating in-depth history of Greek wines as well as selected an impeccable Wine Tasting with local Cretan wines to go with each course of our delicious Boozy Brunch at the organic local olive oil mill in the beautiful picturesque Chania countryside. She even sent us wine tasting notes to watch in the comfort and convenience of our own home, to help relive the moments of our visit to Chania, Crete, Greece Efcharisto Anna Maria ????????????

Had a fantastic afternoon with Anna-Marie. We went for a private wine tour as there were 4 of us. Anna-Marie is extremely knowledgeable about wine & we also had a little education on the olive oil process & history of Crete. Excellent day & value for money, we would highly recommend.
