Hidden Trails, a rapidly changing landscape, and friendly locals provide for a once-in-a-lifetime MTB Slovenia adventure. Imagine traveling from the mountains to the Mediterranean on your bike, how exciting! This Trans Slovenia bike tour starts in Arnoldstein, a little Alpine town just across the Austrian border. An uphill ride to Mt. Peč is rewarded by a fun descent to Kranjska Gora. Before you reach one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, the Soča river, another mountain biking challenge awaits – the Vršič mountain pass. After leaving the Soča Valley, the trail continues towards the romantic Goriška Brda region, which is famous for high-quality wine. The last part of the offers excellent biking through the remote karst area, before descending towards the lovely coastal town of Piran.

As a start and preparation for this trip the communication with Katia from Visitgoodplace was top and hands on! We required an extra treatment in our cycling week to organize as wine tasting, kayak, … Visitgoodplace organized it all. It started from the airport pick up – good driver, a quality pick up , quality van and quality rented bikes. We arrived to Kranska Gora and the driver helped us with installing own bikes and the extra rented bikes. Our guide Andrej was very professional and so helpful, he know his country and local places. He helped us a lot with some downhill practices and other practical MTB things. The hotels/stays had a very good quality and food was even greater. The places and landscapes we cycled in are amazing and mind blowing and are definitely a must do if you like mountain biking. Slovenia and the Slovenians are great We will definitely come back!
