The Bike Slovenia Green cycling tour connects destinations that have been awarded the Slovenia Green certificate by developing their tourism in a sustainable manner. Be a responsible traveler and discover the most beautiful parts of Slovenia on a bike! This very diverse cycling tour starts in Kranjska Gora and runs by the famous Alpine lakes of Bled and Bohinj after passing through the beautiful Radovna valley. Hopping aboard one of the world’s most scenic railways, easy cycling continues along the emerald green Soča river. A land of rolling hills and friendly locals is next on the list. Towering trees give way to vineyards and olive trees in Goriška Brda, famous for high-quality wines. Comfortable cycling continues through the fascinating karstic topography, before the road joins the abandoned Parenzana railway track, slowly descending towards the town of Koper on the Adriatic coast. A dip in the sea and a visit to a local seafood restaurant are strongly recommended.

My friend and I recently done a self guided tour with Visit Good Place and I cannot speak highly enough of this company. Their attention to detail, efforts to ensure we had a good trip, communication, routes provided and accommodation were absolutely brilliant. We done the Trans Slovenia 04 tour which is tough!!! but absolutely worth the uphill climbs for the epic downhill runs. The route selection given via a GPX file was spot on. Slovenia is a stunning country and travelling from the north to south you get to see it all. Several of the accommodations I would love to go back to with my wife they were that stunning. After cycling all day climbing to peaks over 1600 meters you hope for a comfy room to stay that night and what we got was far greater than what we hoped for. Picturesque properties that were clean, tidy, spacious and the people running them were super friendly. As expected I had some bike issues half way through the trip and being Sunday all bike shops were shut but Katja from Visit Good Place had someone collect my bike within an hour to fix it. Great company!!

My wife and I returned a couple of weeks ago from doing the Epic Slovenia gravel bike tour. It was incredible. We absolutely loved it.   GoodPlace’s organizational efforts, communication, attention to detail, gps routes, accommodations, transportation and more were excellent.   With GoodPlace doing all the logistical work, we were able focus on the thing we enjoy most; cycling in a new, magnificent, eclectic and challenging place.  The Epic Tour was all of that. We received an hour-long Zoom call in advance of the tour to walk us through the details of each day and what to expect. This was something no other tour organization has ever done for us and it was exceedingly helpful (be sure to take good notes and bring them with you????). GoodPlace even customized our tour. Rather than start in Arnoldstein, Austria, we wanted to start in Bled, a picturesque town We’ve always wanted to visit. GoodPlace readily made the necessary changes by editing the gps route and having the rental bikes delivered to our Bled guest house. We have done lots of traveling over the years and Slovenia is the most beautiful place we’ve ever been.  We plan to return.
