Depart from Cusco in the morning, with pickup from your hotel and a transfer from the city center to your train station. Your departure location and travel experience depend on the seating option you’ve selected. Guests can choose from the Expedition train. Then enjoy a scenic train ride, offering stunning views of the mountainous terrain that makes up the area near Machu Picchu. Arrive in Aguas Calientes, the small village located at the base of this famous Inca site, and board a bus for a short ride to this sacred citadel.     Aludi Travel helped me create the trip of a lifetime. I love making my own travel plans (and not a big fan of scheduled group tours), but I knew that I wanted to do some tours in order to really learn about Peruvian culture and the major historic sites (Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu). Celeste from Aludi helped me tailor specific group tours to fit my travel plans. Aludi was a lifesaver in booking all the transportation and tickets, which I could not have done myself from the U.S. (I even looked into it... and it was way too confusing). Aludi really took away a lot of travel stress. All of the tours were spectacular, especially the historic tour around Cusco and the Machu Picchu tour.
