The Rainbow Mountain tour is one of the most beautiful trips to the Ausangate natural park where the famous colorful mountains of Vinicunca are located. Accompanied by your expert Guide you will walk through a wild landscape that varies from 4600 m. until 5036m, you will see the llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat, the Andean houses with thatched roofs as in ancient times and their friendly people. Arriving at the highest point you will enjoy the most beautiful views of Vinicunca and the Red Valley.

    Once we pick you up at the hotel, we will travel for 2 hours by bus to the village of Chilliwany where you will start walking.Reaching the Vinicunca pass usually takes 2 hours, and 10 minutes more to reach the viewpoint at 5032 meters above sea level, from where you can observe the colors of the rainbow mountain, you can also enjoy an amazing view of the snowy Ausangate with more than 6500 meters high. We arrived in Cusco late in the afternoon and we had not bought a single tour. However, we wanted to see everything- rainbow mountain, sacred valley, ollentaytambo, Machu Picchu. We chanced upon Ilaria on the evening of our arrival and she made it all possible! The next 3 days were just spectacular as they made it possible to see and experience everything. Our guides Ether and Edith were both very knowledgeable! We were very impressed. They were also very kind, courteous and mindful of our safety. Aita Peru even surprised me with a cake on my birthday during one of our stops for lunch. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to see Cusco. Thank you, Aita!
