Hoi An and Da Nang captivated us. I think the Tour Guide Mr. Long Nguyen, who had a good and understandable command of the English language lead us to loving the sites we visited. 5 stars to him as a tour guide. It was great appreciating everything with the way he explained the places and the history and background of each location we visited. I was impressed with the fusion colonial influences in Hoi An. The French, Japanese, and Chinese cultures and old infrastructures are still intact and well preserved giving a chance for tourists like us to experience Hoi An’s history. The food in Da Nang was fresh and really good! I just loved the sea foods! The marble mountains is a must to visit as well including the Lady Buddha shrine overlooking the shoreline of Da Nang. But you would have missed a life in an Old Da Nang Home of you didn’t visit and have a egg Coffee or Coconut Coffee in the Nam House Cafe. These were so good. It made us visit tue cafe twice in our 7-day visit of the city. It reminded me as well of my father’s ancestral house in a northern province in PH where I grew up till I turned 13.

We (2 adults, three kids (8, 12, 14) did a full day trip from Banyan Tree LanCo to visit My Son in the morning and Hoi An in the afternoon / evening. The communication with Xuan Tu before the trip was smooth and easy. We had some special individual requests (itinerary of the tour, location for lunch, some time to ourselves for shopping and dinner), leading to a very long day for the tour guide and the driver, but it was no problem at all to get it organized. Our tour guide Dat was excellent. Young guy with perfect English, very knowledgable, and a great resource to learn about how people think and feel and live - things you won‘t read in the travel books - and he was very funny, too, so great fun for the kids as well. We enjoyed the best Banh Mi, he introduced us to a refreshing popular drink (Mot) in Hoi An and have us tips for coffee and dinner places. Not the cheapest of the operators around, but top quality.

The trip was really great1, and I felt that me and my family both got a lot out of it, not only in terms of fun but also educational value. Our tour guide ( Dat ) was extremely knowledgeable about Vietnam's history and culture, and constantly provided us with funny yet insightful pieces of information about local life and tourism. The trip was perfectly balanced, with fun activities kids will enjoy ( such as a visit to ba na hills ( an amusement park ) ) as well as fufilling and interactive activities ( visits to a local farm, exploring the streets of Hoi an and learning about its past etc ). Highly would recommend Dat and this company again, was truly a memorable and fruitful experience for the whole family!
