The Marble Mountains, Da Nang, Vietnam Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn; lit. "five elements mountains") is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth).
All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a tourist destination.
The area is known for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. Direct rock extraction from the mountains was banned recently. Materials are now being transported from quarries in Quảng Nam Province.
Marble Mountains was officially given the National Special Relic certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 20, 2019.[1] 120 minutes
Son Tra Peninsula, Son Tra Peninsula, Vietnam Sơn Trà Mountain (Vietnamese: Núi Sơn Trà), also known as Monkey Mountain, is a mountain and peninsula range located on Sơn Trà Peninsula, in Sơn Trà district, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam, overlooking the Bay of Da Nang and the East Sea. Đà Nẵng Port's Tiên Sa Terminal is located at the base of the mountain's western face, as is nearby Tiên Sa Beach.
The site is notable as a natural reserve and tourism location to the nearby city. The site is a habitat for many endangered species notably the Red-shanked douc langur, with over 60% of the species located on the mountain range.[3] In 1977 the site was designated a nationally protected forest following the takeover of the site by the newly unified government.[3] Currently, the site is undergoing significant and in many cases illegal development, with plots of land illegally being transferred to developers by local governments for constructing hotels and venues. My husband and I were initially going to do Da Nang on our own with just a driver but then decided to include a guide. We were extremely happy to have made that decision as a guide such as Henry, makes the day even more memorable and organized. We went to so many places in and around Da Nang. A really great day! Highly recommends Henry. In addition to this wonderful tour, we also hire Henry's company to take us to the airport. Overall, we were pleased with both experiences.

Our small group of 8 had the good luck of having Henry as our guide. We could jam pack our activities within those 4 short days covering most of the Must Do in Da Nang. It was such value for our pricing. Our tour took us to Hui Imperial City, Ba Na Hills, Son Tra Peninsular and the beaches. I love the intenstive work done in preservation of history and also the spectacular built up of Little Europe in Ba Na Hills. Something every Vietnamese should be proud to show all its tourists. Our hotels were also strategically located within the city to allow us to explore the nearby night markets and lanterns display which Hoi Ann is famous for.
