On March 22, 1933, a few weeks after Adolf Hitler had been appointed Reich Chancellor, a concentration camp for political prisoners was set up in Dachau. This camp served as a model for all later concentration camps and as a "school of violence" for the SS men under whose command it stood. In the twelve years of its existence over 200. 000 persons from all over Europe were imprisoned here and in the numerous subsidary camps. 41. 500 were murdered. On April 29 1945, American troops liberated the survivors.

Die Besichtigung des Konzentrationslager es ist aus historischen Gründen sehr empfehlenswert. Man bekommt einen starken Eindruck von dem hier geschehenen Unrecht.

If I could rate this company a zero I would. First and only, it is a scam. We had a “confirmed and paid” receipt with no pick up location and no one to answer the phone. No one came to pick us up, so we made other means of getting to Dachau. When we arrived- Dachau employees told us there was no such tour and the only allowed tour there was through their own in house company. We spent $260 and some on these tickets... HAH. The tickets at the camp were 3,50 euro which is equivalent to $3.93. That’s laughable. Needless to say, we do NOT recommend using Viator if you want to visit Dachau concentration camp! (Which by the way was an absolutely wonderful and educational experience!)
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
